Oh how I love Melissa and Doug toys, and this Wooden Puppet Theater is no exception. I happen to have two girls that love pretend play and will spend hours planning plays and ’shows’ to put on for the rest of the family. And I love to watch their creativity in action. So, this kids puppet theater was a no-brainer for us to have.
This toy is just over 4 feet tall, and it’s wide enough for two little puppeteers to put on a show. The red, velvet curtain is a great touch, as are the covered sides – so kids can be completely hidden while they put on their shows.
As is typical with Melissa & Doug, they thought of everything when putting this toy together. The Wooden Puppet Theater comes complete with a chalkboard and a clock with moveable hands so kids can write the name of their current play and set the start time for attendees.
The construction is quality this this kids puppet theater is sure to hold up for all of your kids. I love it because it encourages creativity and interaction between my children and they love it because they can show of their creative skills for their family and friends. It’s a favorite for family night and sleepovers too.
When you consider the quality of construction and the attention to detail (remember this puppet theater is made with real wood), the price tag of $57.00 is extremely reasonable. We don’t often give five stars to toys, but this one is definitely deserving. It’s also worth noting that this toy will hold your child’s attention for many years – so you’re really getting a lot of bang for your buck!
