Isn’t this stuffed elephant toy the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? Honestly, I’m usually not a real big fan of stuffed toys because we just have too many of them around the house…and on top of that, they seem to multiply all on their own. But I have a 5-year old that absolutely LOVES animals and when I saw this elephant by Furreal Friends, I just couldn’t resist.

We’ve got some other Furreal Friends lurking around our house and I’ve always been pretty pleased with them – meaning they typically have the ability to keep my kids interest for more than 5 minutes, which is a big plus with any toy.

So far, the stuffed elephant toy is a favorite – with both the kids and me, for different reasons of course. I have to admit, it is really cute and it’s looks pretty life-like. He has sensors on his back and he moves his trunk, wiggles his ears, makes eating sounds, and even a trumpeting sound. Heck, he even blows kisses! Like the other Furreal Friends toys, he responds to both voice and touch and seems to be pretty sturdy so far.

I like this elephant because a portion of what I spent on him goes to help children who have AIDS in Africa. The artwork in this elephant toy’s ears was done by kids in Africa, and through a project called Project Zambi (which is also the elephants name), 50% of the profits from all sales are going directly to the support of the project. I’m not going to lie, I’m a sucker for anything that helps kids – so I was happy to spend my money on this little guy.

Overall, It’s a great toy at a great price. The kids have had hours of fun with him and he’s been a good addition to our ever-growing Furreal Friends collection of toys. And, the acquisition of a new stuffed elephant toy did allow me to teach my daughters a few things about elephants too.  If you’ve got a kid who is an animal lover, this is a great buy for you!
